Expert services for wind turbines
As an independent expert office for wind turbines, we cover the complete inspection and analysis cycle: from the legally required periodic inspection (WKP) and condition-oriented inspection (ZOP) through to operational optimisation via azimuth and blade angle measurement – everything from a single source.
For condition assessment, we use drones equipped with high-resolution camera and thermography technology – for complete documentation of even hard-to-reach components. The collected image and thermography data are evaluated directly by our experts and converted into standards-compliant reports.
- Rotor blade assessment (visual & thermographic)
- Gearbox endoscopy
- Tower monitoring
- Blade angle measurement
As certified experts for wind turbines, our focus is on assessing the structural and operational safety of WTGs. As members of the BWE Expert Advisory Board, we ensure the highest quality standards alongside every report.
Recurring Inspection (WKP)
Structural safety inspection every 2–4 years in accordance with DIBt guidelines by an accredited Type C inspection body.
Condition Inspection (ZOP)
Snapshot of the technical condition of a WTG — upon ownership transfer, for insurers, or on a regular basis.
Commissioning Inspection
Extended WKP report combined with ZOP of all installed components and verification of contractual fulfilment.
Damage Assessment
Expertise covering rotor blade damage, gearbox bearing damage, main shaft, blade bearings, tower head bearings and yaw drives.
Rotor Blade Assessment
Inspection by drone flight and, where required, rope access or aerial platforms. Thermal-flux thermography for structural defects.
Valuation Report
Based on the German Real Estate Valuation Ordinance, we determine economic success and risk factors.
Endoscopy
Condition assessment of gearboxes using endoscopy, supported by oil sampling.
Drone Inspection
State-of-the-art drones with high-resolution cameras for cost-effective and precise inspections.
Operations Optimisation
Azimuth calibration and drivetrain optimisation to increase yield.
Technical valuations – accredited and standards-compliant
As an accredited inspection body Type C to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 and member of the BWE expert advisory board, we issue inspection certificates recognised by building and regulatory authorities throughout Germany. We prepare valuation reports for insurers, banks and transactions.
We carry out component checks at the factory to avoid installation delays. Continuous further training in wind energy technology and measurement engineering enables us to assess even complex damage patterns.
